About Dr. Pippa's Weird World

Weird Questions. Real Science. Big Laughs.

Dr. Pippa's Weird World explains the science behind strange, funny and everyday questions. Each article starts with a direct answer, then shows the mechanism, the numbers, the limits of what is known, and the sources behind it. Some topics also get an interactive tool or an animated episode.

Who is Dr. Pippa?

Dr. Pippa is a fictional animated character. She is our host and guide. She is not a real person, does not hold a doctorate or any other qualification, and does not write, review or approve our articles.

The "Dr." is part of her character, in the same spirit as other cartoon scientists. Please do not treat anything she says as advice from a real doctor or researcher.

Who is behind the site?

We are a small, independent team that also makes the Dr. Pippa video series. We are science communicators, not a university, lab or medical practice. We have not listed any scientific reviewers because we do not have any on staff right now. If a qualified expert reviews an article, their real name will appear on that article.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. They can make mistakes, so every published article has been checked against its sources and approved by a person. Our editorial policy explains this process in full.

Who we write for

Curious teens and adults. The art style is playful, but the science is meant to be taken seriously. Our articles are not designed specifically for young children.
